About Lambsbook
The directory, accounts, access and maps.
What is Lambsbook?
Lambsbook is a mobile-friendly directory for discovering Christian-owned businesses and churches or ministries, beginning in the Charlotte area. Listings may include confirmed organizations and Unverified public-directory records that owners can claim.
Who can use Lambsbook?
Consumers can search and compare listings. Christian-owned businesses can apply for or claim a listing. Authorized church or ministry representatives can claim their organization’s listing, and invited community references can help confirm a business’s application.
Can I search without an account?
Yes. When the site is available to you, you can browse the directory and open public profiles without signing in. An account is required to save businesses, submit reviews, claim offers or manage a listing.
Is there a consumer membership fee?
No. Consumers do not pay a membership fee to join or use Lambsbook.
What does it cost for a business or church to join?
Lambsbook has a $0 joining fee and $0 renewal price, with no card required. A free listing is separate from optional sponsored placement.
Does Lambsbook work on a phone? Is there a mobile app?
The current site is designed to work in a mobile browser as well as on a computer. A separate native iPhone or Android app is possible later, but the website is the current mobile experience.
Which map does Lambsbook use, and should zoom work?
The directory currently uses OpenFreeMap map tiles. Zoom buttons, mouse or trackpad zoom and normal mobile pinch gestures should work. Map locations are approximate directory locations and should not replace directions from the business or church.
Should buttons and links open normally?
Yes. Internal buttons and sections should respond to a normal click or tap. Some external business websites or map destinations may open separately. If an internal link works only when opened in a new tab, report it as a site problem.
What business categories are available?
The directory uses ten broad business categories: Home & Local Services; Restaurants & Food; Shopping & Retail; Health & Medical; Beauty, Fitness & Wellness; Automotive; Professional Services; Real Estate; Arts, Entertainment & Events; and Hotels & Travel. Churches & Ministries is a separate category.
For consumers
Searching, badges, reviews, saved listings, offers and accountability.
How do I find a business or church?
Use the directory search and filters to narrow results by name or keyword, category, location or service area, distance and confirmation status. Open a listing to see its contact details, description, badge, offer, reviews and available actions.
What do Unverified, Affirmed, Verified and Community Verified mean?
Unverified means the listing has not completed Lambsbook confirmation. Affirmed is the owner’s self-attestation to belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, qualifying Christian ownership, agreement with all or part of the remaining Statement of Faith, and the complete Business Conduct Pledge. Verified adds one qualified independent reference. Community Verified adds two independent references, including a church or ministry leader. In non-sponsored search results, Affirmed ranks above Unverified, Verified ranks above Affirmed, and Community Verified receives the highest ranking. See how confirmation works.
Does a badge guarantee quality, licensing or that a business tithes?
No. A badge describes the confirmation steps completed. It is not an endorsement or warranty of workmanship, price, licensing, insurance, donations, biblical maturity or the result of a purchase. Lambsbook does not confirm that a business tithes.
Why are some listings marked Unverified?
Lambsbook may publish public-directory information so the community can discover and claim an existing organization without creating duplicates. Unverified does not mean rejected; it means the owner or authorized representative has not completed the applicable confirmation process.
How do I save a business?
Sign in and use the heart control on a listing. Saved businesses appear in your account.
How do I leave a review?
Sign in, open an eligible business profile and use the review form. Provide a 1–5 star rating, a public display name, the transaction month, at least 30 characters and an attestation that you had a real transaction. Reviews are submitted for moderation before publication.
Can I review the same business more than once?
Your account has one review per business. Submitting again updates that review and returns it to pending moderation before it can appear publicly.
Does Lambsbook pay for positive reviews?
No. Lambsbook never requires a positive review and does not pay or reward anyone for a favorable business rating. Influencers may be compensated for disclosed content or verified registrations, but never for favorable ratings or reviews. Reviews must reflect an honest experience, and material relationships or incentives must be clearly disclosed. Read the full policy in our Terms of Use.
How do I claim and use a business offer?
Sign in, open a listing with an active gold Offer label and select Claim this offer. Lambsbook creates a unique code valid for up to seven days, but never beyond the offer’s expiration date. Show the code to the business when using the offer. The business confirms it after honoring the offer, and the status appears in both accounts.
What if my offer code expires?
If the offer itself is still active, return to the business profile and request a new code. A redeemed code cannot be reused. Business owners cannot claim their own offer.
Does Lambsbook verify the purchase when an offer is redeemed?
Lambsbook records the consumer’s claim and the business’s confirmation of the code. It does not independently verify the payment amount, products or services delivered, or every offer term. The business remains responsible for honoring its published offer.
What does Sponsored mean?
Sponsored means the business has an approved promotional placement that can appear ahead of other matching results. It is clearly labeled and does not purchase or change an Affirmed, Verified or Community Verified badge. Among non-sponsored listings, submitting optional confirmation evidence can improve placement above otherwise comparable listings without evidence.
How do I report inaccurate information or a serious concern?
Use Report a concern for listing accuracy, faith or ownership claims, credentials, business conduct, fraud, safety or serious misconduct. Reports are reviewed privately and do not automatically remove a listing or badge. Use Contact us for general questions or corrections.
For businesses
Eligibility, applications, documents, references, offers and promotion.
Who qualifies as a Christian-owned business?
The current application requires at least 51% Christian beneficial ownership and operational control by one or more owners making the faith affirmation. The applicant must also be authorized to act for the business and agree to the complete Christian Business Conduct Pledge.
What faith statement must an owner affirm?
The key affirmation is: I believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. The owner also confirms that they have read and personally affirm all or part of the remaining Lambsbook Statement of Faith, while agreeing to the complete Business Conduct Pledge. The current versions are available on the Faith & conduct page.
Should I add a new listing or claim the one already shown?
Search first. If the organization already appears, open its profile and select Claim this business or Claim this church. The claim process connects an authorized person to the existing record and avoids duplicates. If no listing exists, start a new business application.
Do I need to provide a FEIN to claim a listing?
No. The current claim form does not require a FEIN. It asks for your name, role, faith affirmation and enough public or independently verifiable information for Lambsbook to confirm that you are authorized to manage the listing.
What information is required in a business application?
The application requests the public and legal business names, category, location, description, applicant identity and title, qualifying ownership percentage, church or faith community, required affirmations, an electronic signature and an accuracy certification. Website, public phone, public email, service area and business hours are optional.
Are supporting documents required?
No. A business can complete registration without uploading anything. You may optionally upload PDFs, JPGs or PNGs up to 10 MB each, with up to eight documents per application. Submitting at least one confirmation document makes the listing eligible for priority placement above comparable non-sponsored listings without documents.
Who can see uploaded documents?
Supporting documents are private application evidence available to the applicant and authorized Lambsbook reviewers. They are not displayed on the public business profile. Do not upload passwords, full payment-card details, medical information or unrelated sensitive records.
What is required for each confirmation level?
Affirmed requires the owner’s qualifying ownership, faith and conduct attestations and ranks above Unverified listings. Verified adds one qualified independent reference and ranks above Affirmed. Community Verified adds two independent confirmations, at least one from a church or ministry leader, and receives the highest non-sponsored search ranking. Supporting documents remain optional at every level.
How long does a reference have to respond?
A reference receives a unique secure link that is valid for 12 days from the invitation date. The 12-day period is the reference-response window, not a promise that the entire application will be approved within 12 days. An administrator can replace an expired invitation when appropriate.
How long does confirmation last?
An approved confirmation term lasts one year. Owners renew their faith, ownership and conduct attestations and any required credentials or references. If a term expires before renewal is approved, the listing can remain visible but returns to Unverified status.
Can I update my listing after approval?
Yes. In your account, use Edit public profile to update customer-facing information such as the public name, category, website, contact details, service area, hours, address and description. Legal ownership and confirmation records require separate review.
What kinds of offers can a business publish?
A business can publish one active offer, such as percent off, a dollar amount off, a complimentary add-on, a free consultation or estimate, or a bundle or package. Include clear terms, exclusions, redemption instructions and an expiration date. Consumers receive unique codes through the digital claim process.
Where does a business confirm an offer code?
Open Account, choose Manage offer for the business, and enter the code shown by the customer after the offer has been honored. The offer manager shows total claims, confirmed redemptions and recent code statuses.
Can a business pay more for higher placement?
The sponsored options are Local Sponsor at $7 monthly or $84 annually, Featured Business at $12 monthly or $144 annually, and Market Leader at $44 monthly or $528 annually. Higher plans receive stronger sponsored rotation and coverage, but never a higher confirmation badge. Approved campaigns are currently complimentary; there is no card charge or automatic billing until paid billing is activated and final terms are displayed. See business promotion.
What happens if someone reports a concern about my business?
A report starts a private review; it does not automatically prove wrongdoing. When a response is requested, the owner can review the case status and provide a factual response through the account. Depending on the findings, Lambsbook may resolve the case, return a listing to Unverified, suspend it or remove it. Eligible determinations include one appeal through the account.
For churches and ministry references
Church listings, ownership claims and independent confirmations.
Are churches listed as businesses?
No. Churches and ministries use the separate Churches & Ministries directory category. Their organization listing is distinct from a Christian-owned business confirmation badge.
Why might a church already appear in Lambsbook?
Lambsbook may create an Unverified church record from publicly available directory information to support the Charlotte launch. That record does not imply the church’s consent, participation, faith affirmation or endorsement of Lambsbook.
How does a church claim its listing?
An authorized pastor, staff member or administrator signs in, opens the church profile and selects Claim this church. The claimant provides their role, the required faith affirmation and independently verifiable authority information. Lambsbook reviews the connection before granting management access, and no duplicate listing is created.
Does claiming a church automatically verify it or a business?
No. Authority to manage a church listing, the church’s own listing status and the church’s participation as an independent business reference are separate decisions. A claim remains Unverified while it is reviewed.
How does a church or ministry leader confirm a business?
Use only the unique secure reference link issued for that business application. Confirm the business and applicant are the people expected, answer from personal knowledge, and decline if you cannot independently support the requested statements. Do not share the link.
Is a church responsible for a business it confirms?
No. A church or ministry reference provides an independent confirmation based on its knowledge. It does not become responsible for the business’s workmanship, licensing, transactions, debts or future conduct, and it does not replace Lambsbook’s review.
Are a reference’s responses public?
No. Reference responses and private notes are used by authorized Lambsbook reviewers for the confirmation decision and are not published as customer reviews. Information may still be shared when needed to investigate a concern or comply with law.
Accounts and support
Sign-in help, administrator access and contact messages.
How do I sign in?
Open Account or another sign-in-required action and continue through Sign in with ChatGPT. Use the same email address connected to your listing claim, application or reference assignment.
How do I sign in to the administrator portal?
Only an account explicitly authorized as a Lambsbook administrator can open the admin portal. Sign in with the authorized account first. A normal consumer, business or church account cannot gain administrator access by navigating to that address.
Where do Contact us messages go?
Messages submitted through Contact us are saved in the private Lambsbook administrator inbox for review. They are not currently forwarded automatically to an outside email address. The team can reply to the email address supplied in the form.
How can I ask a question that is not answered here?
Use Contact us for account, listing, privacy, partnership or general questions. Use Report a concern for serious conduct, accuracy, credential, fraud or safety matters.
Still have a question?
Send the Lambsbook team a message, or use the concern form for a serious issue involving a listing.
