Jesus’ teaching about a light that serves everyone in the house inspires our name. Local Lights put that spirit of helpfulness into everyday action: sharing a firsthand experience so a neighbor can make a more informed choice.

You don’t need to be an influencer. Be observant, be fair, and tell the truth. A balanced review matters just as much as a glowing one.

Founding Lights

Limited places in each city

Founding Local Light membership is limited to a small inaugural group of approved members in each city. Once those places are filled, the founding distinction closes for that city; regular Local Light membership remains available. This planned permanent distinction is reserved for the first approved members. Recognition celebrates your local community: “Founding Local Light • Your City.” Annual Local Light membership remains subject to renewal.

Our starting membership standard focuses on the quality of your contributions. Meeting the minimums makes you eligible for review; approval is not automatic.

Founding places are limited in every city. Only the first approved members can receive the Founding Local Light distinction. Expressing interest does not reserve a place or guarantee approval.

    Complete your profile

    Use a consistent identity and share a little about yourself and your community.

    Share three thoughtful reviews

    Review at least three different establishments you have personally used. Be specific, fair and helpful. Relevant original photos are welcome.

    Let the team get to know you

    Express interest through our contact form. The team reviews contribution quality, authenticity and respectful participation.

    Keep contributing

    Membership is reviewed annually. Helpfulness and integrity matter more than chasing a review count.

Our Local Light badge brings a golden flame and a lamb together: light shared with a neighbor, rooted in the Lambsbook community. The red and gold seal celebrates thoughtful, honest contributions.

Profile and review badge placement is planned as membership features roll out.

Recognition should strengthen trust.

Local Light status recognizes a contributor. It does not verify a business’s faith, guarantee its service, or change its Affirmed, Verified or Community Verified status.

Reviews must reflect genuine experiences. No payments, gifts or discounts in exchange for reviews. Don’t review your own business, employer or a business where you have a personal conflict. Honest criticism is welcome.

Event invitations never require a review or a positive rating. Business verification and sponsored placement remain separate from reviewer recognition.
